Gustavo S. Mesch is a Professor of Sociology at the University of Haifa. He holds a PhD degree in Sociology from the Ohio State University (1993). His research interests are technology and society, social effects of new media, youth internet culture, social networks on-line and offline. He is currently studying patterns of Artificial Intelligence use and its integration in the criminal justice system. He has served as Chair of the Information & Communication Section of the American Sociological Association and Editor-in-Chief of the Sociological Focus, the official Journal of the North Central Sociological Association (U.S.)
