Luis Angelo Cortez has been employed as a Science Research Specialist II in the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM), based in Quezon City, for over 10 years. He has a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of the Philippines Diliman, and currently the Laboratory Manager of the Soil and Water Resources Management Section, responsible for overseeing and conducting experiments related to soil biology and microbiology. Outside of the laboratory, he enjoys studying and playing chess, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, and browsing the internet for the latest memes.
