Matías Serafini is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Chile, and Researcher at Universidad Abierta Interamericana (UAI), where this study was conducted. His research focuses on incentive relativity and examines the emotional, motivational, and neurobiological mechanisms underlying binge-eating episodes through the use of animal models. His work explores how experiences of frustration influence feeding behavior and contribute to the development and maintenance of maladaptive patterns of overeating.
