Dr. Rui Gong is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Mercer University in the United States. She earned her Ph.D. in Mathematical Sciences from Clemson University. Her research focuses on applying advanced statistical modeling to understand how social and environmental factors shape health outcomes. In particular, she investigates the impact of residential racial and economic segregation on major causes of death across U.S. communities. Through her work, Dr. Gong aims to provide data-driven insights that inform equitable public health policies and promote social justice in healthcare.
