Dr. Lakshmi Sowmya Emani earned her Ph.D. in Biotechnology, focusing on studies of how novel Curcumin derivatives affect Alpha-Synuclein pathology in Parkinson’s Disease, from KLEF Deemed-to-Be University, Vaddeswaram, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh, in 2026. She has published 10 papers and holds two patents in brain research. She received travel awards from the International Society for Neurochemistry (2024) and the International Union of Biochemistry and Biophysics (2022). She is a member of SFN-USA, ISN-France, and APSN-Singapore. She presented 15 papers at international conferences and served as an assistant coordinator for five international events, including the DST-CEFIPRA-sponsored India-France joint meeting on AI in understanding the human brain and related disorders in 2024.
