Prof. A. K. Nema is Deputy Director (Operations) and Professor of Civil Engineering at IIT Delhi, where he has served since 2002. He obtained his Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from IIT Bombay. His research encompasses environmental systems analysis, integrated waste management, environmental impact and risk assessment, simulation, optimization, and multi-criteria decision-making. With extensive experience in teaching, research, and consultancy, he has published over 100 papers in refereed international journals and supervised numerous doctoral and master's students. He has served on national expert committees associated with CPCB, MoEF&CC, CPHEEO, and NGT, contributing to environmental policy and management in India.
