Dr. Tithi Dutta has recently earned my PhD in Genetics from the University of Calcutta and is seeking a post-doctoral scholarship opportunity to advance my investigative training to better explore the molecular and epigenetic aspects of complex genetic disorders. Her thesis expanded the mutational spectrum of known and novel OCA genes, aiding in diagnosis, familial screening, and disease management. A meta-analysis of vitiligo-associated variants helped estimate their impact on disease pathogenesis. Although LRMDA expression changes in response to H2O2 were not observed, further studies are needed to explore its potential role in immunology. As a Project Research Scientist-I, I led chemoprevention trials for neonatal hyperbilirubinemia, gaining clinical experience with affected newborns. Currently, I serve as Research Associate-II at the Indian Statistical Institute, contributing to psoriasis and related genetic research while supporting student training and grant projects.
