Tao Li is an assistant professor in the Department of Systems Engineering at City University of Hong Kong. Before taking the current position, he had been with IBM Research after receiving a Ph.D. from New York University (NYU) in 2025. By combining game theory and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, his research focuses on security and resilience in AI-integrated network systems across cyber, physical, and human layers. His continued efforts have won him the NYU Dante Youla Award for research excellence. The IEEE Communications Society recognizes him as a rising star in AI and machine learning for security.
