I just completed my PhD in 2026 from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune. I work on soft-matter biophysics, synthetic biology and biomimetics, aiming to understand various fundamental life-like processes in a non-living minimal compartment system by adopting a bottom-up interdisciplinary approach. Specifically, I specialize in behaviours of different compartment systems like vesicles/liposomes and liquid-liquid-phase-separated (LLPS) droplets, employing spectroscopy, kinetic and steady-state fluorimetry, and microscopy. I aim to understand how life originated from simple chemistry to complex biology by developing tractable modules to comprehend the fundamental cellular processes.
