Theresa de Young a lecturer in the Department of Knowledge and Information Stewardship at the University of Cape Town. She has expansive professional practice experience in the field of knowledge and information stewardship in South Africa. Theresa teaches and supervises research in professional preparation programmes; teaching and learning in library and information services (LIS), and technology enablers in digital curation. Her other research interests include teaching and learning in LIS, information behaviour, library history, digital curation, information literacies as well as research ethics. She is currently working towards a PhD that focuses on the critical positioning of knowledge and information stewardship within astronomy research infrastructures to enable significant breakthroughs and discoveries.
