Shirui Lily Festival: Celebrating Manipur’s Unique Floral Heritage

The 5th State-Level Shirui Lily Festival recently concluded in Manipur’s Ukhrul district, celebrating the 75th anniversary of the discovery of the Shirui Lily (Lilium mackliniae), a rare and endangered flower native to the Shirui Hills. Organized by the Department of Tourism, Manipur, the five-day festival featured vibrant cultural performances, ecological awareness programs, and community engagement activities.
